The proposed investors in the Fund (namely the limited partners) are intended to be “wholesale investors” (pursuant to the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013) and predominantly high net worth individuals or Chinese corporations with well-established and successful sales and distribution channels in China, both online and offline, for high quality food and beverage products. These corporations have the knowledge to operate effectively and successfully in the complex Chinese market.

Leveraging on this expertise and networks, the distinctive business model enables New Zealand exporters to achieve greater trading success in China than they could ever achieve following a traditional type of sales and distribution model. This is because of the strength of the information flows and the direct connection between the New Zealand exporters and the end customers in China that the unique business model achieves.
